Gunite Pool Construction in New Jersey
Blu Sol Pools designs and builds custom gunite inground pools across Bergen, Passaic, Morris, and Essex Counties. Every pool is one of a kind — engineered for your property, built to last a lifetime.
Why Gunite
The Gold Standard in Pool Construction
Gunite — also called shotcrete or concrete — is the most durable and versatile pool construction method available. A steel-reinforced concrete shell is pneumatically applied over a rebar framework, creating a structure that can be built in any shape, any size, and any depth imaginable.
Unlike vinyl liner pools that require liner replacement every 8–12 years, or fiberglass pools limited to factory molds, a gunite pool is a permanent structure. Properly built and maintained, a gunite pool lasts 25–50+ years and can be renovated, resurfaced, and updated without replacement.
Blu Sol Pools has specialized in gunite construction for over 20 years. Every pool we build is designed from scratch for your specific property — your yard's dimensions, your soil conditions, your lifestyle, and your vision.

Our Process
From Concept to First Swim
A typical custom gunite pool build in Northern NJ takes 10–16 weeks from permit approval. Here's exactly what happens.
Design Consultation
We meet at your property, assess the site, discuss your vision, and produce a custom design with 3D renderings.
Permitting
Blu Sol handles all municipal permits across Bergen, Passaic, Morris, and Essex Counties — we know every town's requirements.
Excavation
Our crews excavate to the precise dimensions of your design, accounting for soil conditions and drainage.
Steel & Plumbing
A rebar cage is tied to engineering specs. All plumbing, returns, drains, and equipment lines are roughed in.
Gunite Application
High-pressure pneumatic equipment sprays a steel-reinforced concrete shell — the most durable pool structure available.
Tile, Coping & Decking
We install your chosen waterline tile, coping stone, and surrounding deck material — all coordinated to your design.
Equipment & Finish
Pumps, filters, heaters, automation, and LED lighting are installed. The interior finish (plaster, pebble, or quartz) is applied.
Fill & Startup
We fill the pool, balance the water chemistry, walk you through your equipment, and hand over the keys.
